10-Day Migration Wonder
Safari (Stars January 29,
2010)
Day 1 Late evening
arrival
at Kilimanjaro. Pick up for transport to Moivaro Coffee Plantation
and Lodge at the foot of Mt. Meru.
Day 2 After breakfast, depart
for Arusha National
Park for all day walking safari. Stay at
the Moivaro Coffee Plantation and Lodge on the foot of beautiful
Mt.
Meru, sister to
Mt Kilimanjaro.
Day 3 Morning
departure for Tarangire
National Park for game
drives, lunch, swimming and lodging at the Tarangire Safari Lodge
overlooking the Tarangire River.
Day 4 All
day game drives and exploration of Tarangire
National Park.
Return to lodge for lunch and relaxing at the pool, or picnic lunch
in the bush. Late afternoon game drives. Dinner and Lodging at the
Tarangire Safari Lodge.
Day 5 Depart
Tarangire and journey through the Great Rift Valley and visit Mtu wa
Mbo on the shores of Lake Manyara for a culture walk
through the village. After lunch relax, and head up to the
Ngorongoro Crater rim to stay at the Wildlife Lodge overlooking the
Crater.
Day 6 Early
morning game drive in Ngorongoro Crater. Picnic lunch and continue
up through the Ngorongoro highlands to the southern Serengeti
Plains. Visit
Olduvai Gorge, the birthplace of
humans and continue on to the Ndutu Safari lodge for the night near
the vast herds of calving wildebeest.
Day 7 All
day game drive throughout the southern Serengeti and the wildebeest
herds. Return to the Ndutu Safari
Lodge.
Day 8 Game
drive and transit to Seronera Lodge in the heart of the Serengeti.
All the fantastic game that you’d expect in the world’s premier
wildlife refuge.
Day 9 Wake up early and
take an optional balloon ride for a different perspective on the
plains of the Serengeti. Continue exploration of of Serengeti.
Transit to the south or west to the Grumeti
River as
determined by our guides and migration movements. Return to Seronera
Lodge for the night.
Day
10 Depart
Serengeti for Arusha via commercial turboprop. Arrive Arusha at noon
for afternoon in town and onward connections homeward. Or, continue on to Zanzibar for
five fantastic days there.

12-Day Migration Wonder
Safari (February 13-24, 2009)
Day 1 Safari
starts in Arusha from town or pickup at the airport. Drive to
Ndarakwai, a private game reserve on the western slopes of
Kilimanjaro. Lodging at luxurious permanent tented camp. Evening
game drives or a visit to tree house for game
viewing.
Day 2 The
whole day for game walks, game drives, biking through the reserve,
an afternoon in the tree house, and an evening visit to visit the
neighboring Maasai village while the cows come in for the
night.
Day 3 Optional
drive to Mt. Kilimanjaro to the Shira
Plateau at 10,000 ft. Spend the day walking around on the plateau.
Or, stay at camp and go on a safari on horseback., a great way to
see game close up. Stay at Ndarakwai for the
night.
Day 4 Depart
for Arusha National
Park for all day walking safari. Stay at
the Moivaro Coffee Plantation and Lodge on the foot of beautiful
Mt.
Meru, sister to
Mt Kilimanjaro.
Day 5 Morning

National Park for game
drives, lunch, swimming and lodging at the Tarangire Safari Lodge
