Day 1      Evening arrival.  Lodging at Moivaro Lodge or KIA Lodge.

Day 2      Late breakfast and relax in the beautiful grounds. For early risers there is an optional walking safari in Arusha National Park through meadows populated with giraffe and cape buffalo. Leave Arusha for Tarangire National Park and afternoon game drives. Lodging at the Tarangire Safari Lodge overlooking the Tarangire River.

Day 3     All day game drive. Picnic lunches or dine at the lodge. Continue game drives or relax in the afternoon near the pool. Late afternoon game drives. Depart Tarangire in late afternoon for journey across the Great Rift Valley to Kirurumu Tented Lodges on top of the Rift Escarpment.

Day 4      In the morning, visit Mto wa Mbu on the shores of Lake Manyara for a culture walk through the village. After lunch relax, and head up to the Ngorongoro Crater rim to stay at the Wildlife Lodge overlooking the Crater.

Day 5      All day game drive in the Crater with picnic lunch. Return to the rim for another night at the Wildlife Lodge.

Day 6     Depart crater for transit to Serengeti camp. Stop at Olduvai Gorge and the shifting sand dune. Transit through the short grass plain with good game viewing en route. Luxury camp in the heart of the Serengeti.

Day 7    Game drives and exploring in Serengeti. Return to camp for the night.

Day 8    Further explorations of Serengeti. Transit to the south or west to the Grumeti River as determined by our guides and animal movements. Return to camp for the night..

Day 9    Depart Serengeti for Arusha via commercial turboprop. Arrive Arusha at noon for afternoon in town and onward connections homeward.  Or, continue on to Zanzibar for five fantastic days there.
